Hans Wehr (Arabic Almanac)

The Hans Wehr app is a digital version of the famous Arabic-English Hans Wehr dictionary. You can search through the dictionary by using the root letter of the word and the app will display the corresponding page from the Hans Wehr dictionary.

This app was developed to aid students of the Arabic language in their noble pursuit. This app will remove the need of carrying around a bulky dictionary and replace it with the convenience of your smartphone. Now you have access to all the same information but at the comfort of your fingertips.

The dictionary can be searched using an Arabic keyboard, or if you do not have an Arabic keyboard the dictionary can be searched using roman (English) letters which have an Arabic equivalent. To search just simply enter the root letters of the word and click search. You can navigate through the pages of the dictionary by swiping left and right. (See the About section in the app for more details).

To enable offline mode please open the Settings page and download the necessary files. The app provides quick access features to check the verb forms and the Roman to Arabic letter conversion. If you are experiencing difficulties with the app crashing when trying to enable offline mode, then please uninstall the app and download the latest update which fixes this issue.

At the moment only the Hans Wehr (Arabic-English) dictionary is supported, but we are working on releasing other dictionaries as well.

L'applicazione Hans Wehr è una versione digitale del famoso dizionario arabo-Inglese Hans Wehr. È possibile cercare attraverso il dizionario utilizzando la lettera radice della parola e l'applicazione mostrerà la pagina corrispondente dal dizionario Hans Wehr.

Questa applicazione è stata sviluppata per aiutare gli studenti di lingua araba nella loro nobile scopo. Questa applicazione eliminerà la necessità di portare in giro un dizionario ingombrante e sostituirlo con la comodità del tuo smartphone. Ora si ha accesso a tutte le stesse informazioni, ma al comfort della portata di mano.

Il dizionario può essere cercati utilizzando una tastiera araba, o se non si dispone di una tastiera araba il dizionario può essere cercati utilizzando romana (in inglese) le lettere che hanno un equivalente arabo. Per cercare solo è sufficiente inserire le lettere della radice della parola e fare clic su Cerca. È possibile navigare tra le pagine del dizionario scorrendo a destra ea sinistra. (Vedere la sezione relativa in app per maggiori dettagli).

Per attivare la modalità non in linea si prega di aprire la pagina Impostazioni e scaricare i file necessari. L'applicazione fornisce funzionalità di accesso rapido per controllare le forme verbali e romana alla conversione lettera araba. Se si verificano problemi con il crash dell'applicazione quando si cerca di attivare la modalità non in linea, quindi si prega di disinstallare l'applicazione e scaricare l'ultimo aggiornamento che risolve questo problema.

Al momento solo il dizionario Hans Wehr (arabo-inglese) è supportato, ma stiamo lavorando per rilasciare altri dizionari pure.
